SUMMIT KIDS

Outfitting Children for a Lifetime of Following Jesus

Summit Kids offers programming for children up through 5th grade. After 5th grade, children are promoted to our youth ministry.
Childhood is a strategic time for biblical instruction. We believe that this is an ideal time to teach the foundational Bible stories and concepts. We also take the opportunity to introduce children to Jesus and the forgiveness that God offers through Jesus’ death and resurrection.

The Nursery and Pre-K classes are available for the entire service.
Elementary age kids start in the Worship Center and are released to classes mid-service before the sermon.

Midweek Programming

On Monday nights from September through April, we use a Bible-based spiritual development program called Awana. Kids play games, sing songs, study Bible stories, and memorize Bible verses

Summit Awana also includes things like dress up nights, store, and the ability to earn awards.

Our Values

Participating in Church

We want families to worship together, so we have children in the older kids’ class join us for the first half of Sunday service. We sing together, pray together, take communion together and more.  Outside of Sunday services, we also have events geared towards families.

Interactive Learning

We reinforce lessons through layering (presenting the same concept several ways). This also helps us reach children with various learning styles. We use games, crafts, singing, skits, cooking—you name it, the kids are doing it.

Fun

Following Jesus gives us joy, so why should church be boring?

Safety

WE HAVE A DETAILED PLAN TO ENSURE KIDS ARE SAFE. HERE ARE A FEW OF THE MEASURES THAT WE EMPLOY AT SUMMIT CHURCH TO ENSURE CHILD SAFETY:

  • Background Checks
  • Digital Checkin (Sunday mornings)
  • Hall Monitors
  • Nametags
  • Official Shirts (Monday nights)
  • Multiple volunteers per classroom
  • Detailed bathroom policy

Thank you for helping us out by taking your child to the bathroom before you drop them off!
