A Note From Ross HoskinG
games volunteer leader

Day 2 first items: Prayer over players - Games volunteer

Day 2 games by age group

Oldest:

1. Stomp water relay - put a cup on the lever, stomp and catch it with as much water in it as you can - run to container and fill it up, then back to your next teammate

2. 4-way water cup on strings - four to a team, fill the cup on strings, carry it as a team to the end, where a teammate waits with a container on their head - fill that container with water, run back and fill some more

3. Ultimate water balloon toss - 2 teams, one offense and one defense - must throw the water balloon, can not run with it - defense can stay at a distance and try to use pool noodles to defend the throws. Catch in the end zone for points! - may alter the rules and have the defenders stay in position and not be able to run

Youngest:

1. Frisbee balance relay - outdoors, let's make up 5 teams even if they are smaller.

2. Water balloon toss - like egg toss - stand close and pass back and forth - if successful, step back a step and keep throwing

3. Treasure tag - outdoors, will need bean bags and the chair

Middle:

TREASURE TAG

Time goal: 10 minutes

Materials: swiveling chair or stool (Mr. Hosking provides) Pool noodle, blindfold, 10-15 bean bags, with a few special colors

1. Treasure 'dragon' is blindfolded and has a pool noodle for tagging

2. Players try to grab 'treasure' (bean bags) without getting tagged

3. Objective: whoever takes the last treasure without getting tagged becomes the next dragon.

4. Option: have a special color bean bag that denotes the next dragon. Maybe don't tell which bag is the special one and change the color of the special treasure for each round, so the players don't know

FRISBEE BALANCE RELAY

Time goal: 10 minutes

Materials: big strong pool noodles x5, small frisbees x5 (or however many is needed for teams), cones for relay turnaround spot

1. Divide into relay race teams (up to 4 teams?)

2. Players must balance small frisbee on top of pool noodle, then run to a cone and back to the next player (option: throw the frisbee back to the next player)

3. Option: require that the pool noodle  is held at a certain spot closer to the bottom for difficulty, more in the middle for younger group
